April 23rd, 2011 - The Beach Bums Baseball Academy will have three two-day mini-camps in 2011.

Times:10 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day
Cost: $100 ($85 in advance)

Academy Announces Training Programs for Elite Athletes
April 22nd, 2011 - The Beach Bums Baseball Academy has announced summer training programs for elite area athletes. The College Prospect Program is for high school athletes from grades 9-12, and includes a Pro Equipment Pack (Wilson A2000 pro quality mitt, professional quality wood bat from DBat, Rawlings pullover, Under Armour Tech Tee), plus a Skills Evaluation (based on MLB scouting scale for speed, hitting, hitting for power, fielding, and arm strength), a 60-minute College Consultation Session, 16 Private Lessons with Beach Bums' players and coaches (30-minute lessons), 8 Private Position-Specific Conditioning Sessions (60-minute sessions with a pro player of your position), plus an Online Skills Video posted on YouTube and available to every college coach in the country. The full package, worth over $2,000, is available for $1,500 with a limit of 10 players for the summer of 2011. The Future Prospect Program is for middle school and younger (13 and under) players who want to develop their baseball skills to hopefully play at the college or professional level in the future. The program includes a Pro Equipment Pack similar to the College Prospect Program, plus 16 Private Lessons with Beach Bums' players and coaches (30-minute lessons), 8 Private Position-Specific Conditioning Sessions (60-minute sessions with a pro player of your position). The program is worth over $1,500, but will be available for $1,300 for a limited amount of players for the summer of 2011. April 6th, 2011 - The Beach Bums Baseball Academy has been open for camps, clinics, and lessons for more than six years. Recently, original members of the Academy have been excelling in the college ranks including Spring Arbor's RHP/1B Greg Blanco (Mancelona) and Aquinas Catcher Scott Witkop (Traverse City West).
